Ginsberg first recording found

"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked..."

The first ever reading by Ginsberg of his epic poem, Howl, has been discovered (and is of course now available to listen to on the wonderful web). For me, the most inspiring aspects of today's counterculture are those which have their origins (or their first creative manifestation) in the Beat era.

With greats like Ginsberg and Burroughs no longer alive, who do we have to take their places? No one in the same league on the horizon. Will mySelf? Gimme a break.. a panel show whore. Real counter-culture heroes are thin on the ground these days.
